Informovaný pacient se lépe uzdravuje

Při edukaci a informování pacientů je třeba myslet na srozumitelnost předávaných informací se zřetelem na to, že velká část populace má nízkou zdravotní gramotnost a může pro ně být obtížné odbornějším informacím porozumět. Evropská urologická společnost (EAU) vytváří internetové stránky s věcně správnými a zároveň srozumitelnými informacemi, které se v současné době stávají dostupnými i pro české pacienty. Možnosti jejich využití jsou velmi široké a nabízí českým zdravotníkům a pacientům velmi účinný nástroj pro zlepšení informovanosti, a tím i průběhu léčby.

An informed patient recovers better

When educating and informing patients, it is necessary to think about the clarity of the given information, taking into account that a large part of population has low health literacy and it may be difficult to understand more specialized information. European Association of Urology (EAU) is creating a website with factually correct and well understandable information, which is currently becoming available also to Czech patients. The possibilities for their use are very wide and offer Czech health professionals and patients a very effective tool for improving information and thus the course of treatment.
