Umelá inteligencia verzus texty písané človekom

Vplyv umelej inteligencie v našom každodennom živote je určujúcim znakom 21. storočia. Jej anglická skratka AI (artificial intelligence) sa zažila na celom svete aj v našej literatúre. Rozsiahle jazykové modely sa stali verejnosti široko dostupné koncom roka 2022. Dnes ich pravidelne používa viac ako miliarda ľudí na celom svete. AI po dobrom zadaní dokáže takmer okamžite generovať správy, e-maily, príhovory, vedecké texty i uhladenú a plynulú prózu. Ešte ju čakajú krásne básne a vtipy. Ale jej písanie sa riadi pomerne úzkym jednotným vzorcom. Ľudskí autori vykazujú oveľa väčší štylistický rozsah, formovaný osobným prejavom a vnútorným hlasom, životnými a spoločenskými zážitkami, tvorivým zámerom, odbornými skúsenosťami aj cieľmi a individuálnou skúsenosťou. Písanie textov generované AI stále vykazuje štylistické vzorce, ktoré ju odlišujú od ľudskej prózy. Porovnanie štýlov písania textu u ľudí a rozsiahlych jazykových modelov je dôležité nielen na identifikáciu autorstva. Diskusia o budúcnosti kreatívnej práce na túto tému je v súčasnosti veľmi dôležitá, pretože generatívna AI pretvára vzdelávanie, vedu i výskum, odborné texty, písanie poviedok, knižiek a vydavateľstvo i umenie.

Artificial intelligence versus human-written texts
The influence of artificial intelligence in our daily lives is a defining feature of the 21st century. Its English acronym AI (artificial intelligence) has been experienced all over the world, including in our Slovak literature. Extensive language models became widely available to the public in late 2022. Today, more than a billion people around the world use them regularly. Given a good task, AI can almost instantly generate messages, emails, speeches, scientific texts, and smooth, flowing prose. Beautiful poems and jokes are still waiting for it. But its writing continues to follow a relatively narrow, uniform pattern. Human authors exhibit a much greater stylistic range, shaped by personal expression and inner voice, life and social experiences, creative intent, professional experience and goals, and individual experience. AI-generated writing exhibits distinct stylistic patterns that distinguish it from human prose. Comparing human writing styles and large-scale language models is important not only for identifying authorship. The discussion about the future of creative work on this topic is currently very important, as generative AI is reshaping education, science and research, professional texts, short story writing, book and publishing, and art.
