Metabolická chirurgia – chirurgia obezity

Bariatrická chirurgia má 60-ročnú históriu a za ten čas bolo navrhnutých viac ako 60 typov operácií. Na prelome milénií sa začal zdôrazňovať vplyv chirurgickej intervencie na komorbidity, predovšetkým diabetes mellitus 2. typu. Boli definované štandardné postupy, indikačné kritériá, technické a personálne podmienky. Zdôrazňuje sa multidisciplinárny prístup. V práci sú predstavené aktuálne operačné výkony používané na Slovensku, ktoré kopírujú svetový trend.

Metabolic surgery – surgery of obesity

Bariatric surgery is nearly 60 years old. During this time there were more than 60 procedures invented. On the border of milenium the therm metabolic surgery was stressed because of the influence of surgery on comorbidities, especially on diabetes mellitus type 2. Standard procedures were defined. Personal and technical conditions were defined, as well. The accent on multidisciplinary approach is expressed. In the paper recent surgical procedures used in Slovakia are described. They copy the world trend.
