Infekcie dolných močových ciest

Infekcie močových ciest (IMC) sú jednou z najčastejších príčin návštevy praktického lekára, patria medzi najčastejšie sa vyskytujúce bakteriálne infekcie a 3 % všetkých konzultácií sa týkajú ťažkostí, ktoré súvisia s infekciami močového traktu. Medzi infekcie dolných močových ciest patria zápalové ochorenia močového mechúra, močovej rúry, prostaty, nadsemenníka a semenníka. IMC postihujú všetky vekové skupiny, najviac však novorodencov a ľudí starších ako 65 rokov. Vysoká incidencia IMC je spojená s veľkými finančnými nákladmi na liečbu a starostlivosť o pacientov s infekciami močových ciest, v USA tieto náklady presahujú 1,6 miliardy USD ročne. Publikácia sa zaoberá epidemiológiou, patogenézou a patogénmi IMC a uvádza klinický priebeh, diagnostiku a liečbu najčastejšie sa vyskytujúcich zápalových ochorení orgánov dolných močových ciest.

INFECTION OF THE LOWER URINARY TRACT

Urinary tract infections (UTI) are one of the commonest conditions seen in general practice, they are among the most common of all bacterial infections and about 3 % of consultations are for related symptoms of infections of the urinary tract.To the infections of the lower urinary tract belongs inflammatory diseases of the urinary blader, of uretra, of prostate, of epididymis and testis. UTI occure in all class of age, most of all in new-borns and people at the age over 65 years. Because of the high incidence of UTI, the costs associated with treatment and maintainance of patients with urinary tract infections are very high and in the USA they exceed the amount of 1,6 bilion US$. This article attempts to understand the epidemiology, patogenesis and patogens of UTI and present the clinical course, diagnosis and treatment of the most common inflammatory diseases of the lower urinary tract organs.
