Vnútorné krvácanie patrí medzi vážne náhle príhody. Musí byť rýchlo diagnostikované a následne adekvátne liečené. Na II. chirurgickej klinike Lekárskej fakulty Univerzity Komenského a UN Bratislava sa pri identifikácii zdroja krvácania a jeho ošetrení uplatňuje spolupráca chirurga, gastroenterológa, rádiológa a intervenčného rádiológa. Úvod práce je zameraný na definíciu, rozdelenie a náplň odboru intervenčná rádiológia. Samotná publikácia je zameraná na kazuistiku dvoch akútne krvácajúcich, hematologicky kompromitovaných a komorbidných pacientov, ktorí boli urgentne prijatí na chirurgickú kliniku. Pacienti boli riešení v spolupráci s Rádiologickou klinikou LF UK UNB a SZU. Záverom autori podotýkajú, že spolupráca chirurga a intervenčného rádiológa má výrazný prínos v liečbe akútne krvácajúceho pacienta.
