Ľudský život má svoje hranice a táto skutočnosť platí aj v oblasti zdravotnej starostlivosti. Uvedená problematika sa stáva aktuálnou hlavne s technologickými pokrokmi medicíny. V posledných rokoch sa do popredia dostáva predovšetkým princíp zodpovednosti pacienta za vlastné zdravie. Práca sa zaoberá témou umierajúcich pacientov z pohľadu vnútroštátnej i medzinárodnej právnej úpravy. Autor sa venuje danej oblasti aj z etického a medicínskeho hľadiska.

The finality of human life and healthcare services from a legal point of view

Human life has its own limits and this also applies to health care. This subject becomes actual especially with the current technological advances in medical sphere. In recent years, comes to the front primarily the principle of patient responsibility for his own health. In this thesis is analyzed the topic of dying patients with use of national and international legislation. The author deals with this theme from the ethical and medical point of view.
