Dexametazón – profil lieku

Dexametazón je syntetický derivát hydrokortizónu, od ktorého sa líši pridaným atómom fluóru v pozícii C9 a metylového radikálu v pozícii C16. Dexametazón má etablovanú pozíciu vo viacerých medicínskych odboroch. V prehľadovom článku je spomenutá história zavedenia dexametazónu do klinickej praxe, mechanizmus účinku a indikácie.

Dexamethasone – profile of the drug

Dexamethasone is the syntethic derivate of the hydrocortisone, from which it differs by the added atom of fluorine at the position C9 andmethyl radical added at the position C16. Dexamethasone has esthablished position in the several medical fields. In this review artcile history of the introduction into clinical practice of dexamethasone is mentioned, mechanism of action and indications.
