Ako riešim febrilnú neutropéniu

Riešenie febrilnej neutropénie zostáva každodennou úlohou v starostlivosti o pacienta s nádorovým ochorením aj napriek nástupu modernej terapie s nižšou mierou tejto komplikácie protinádorovej liečby. Poznanie etiológie, epidemiológie, predpokladanej dĺžky neutropénie, ako aj rizikové faktory zo strany pacienta spolu s odporúčanou diagnostikou a adekvátnou liečbou sú základom úspešného riešenia febrilnej neutropénie.

How I manage febrile neutropenia

Management of febrile neutropenia remains the common task in the everydays care for cancer patient despite the onset of the modern anticancer therapy which is associated with the lower rate of this complication. The knowledge of ethiology, epidemiology, anticipated lenght of neutropenia as well as the patient’s risk factors, together with recommended diagnostic procedures and adequate treatment is the basis of the successfull management of febrile neutropenia.
