Liečba 2. typu diabetes mellitus

Autor rozoberá komplexnú liečbu hyperglykémie u diabetu 2. typu. Uvádza novú klasifikáciu orálnych antidiabetík, pravidlá pre zahájenie liečby monoterapiou a následnú liečbu rôznymi kombináciami orálnej liečby. Nedostatočná glykemická kompenzácia pri liečbe monoterapiou alebo kombinovanou liečbou orálnymi antidiabetikami je indikáciou pre substitúciu inzulínom.

THERAPY OF DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2

Author analyses the complex therapy of hyperglycaemia in type 2 diabetes. He introduces the new classiffication of oral antidiabetics, rules for initiating of monotherapy and consecutive therapy with various combinations. Insufficient glycaemic control with oral antidiabetic monotherapy or combination therapy is the indication for substitution with insulin therapy.
