Chirurgia karcinómu pankreasu prešla za posledné desaťročia zásadnými zmenami. Úplné odstránenie tumoru pankreasu je v porovnaní s konzervatívnou terapiou benefitom pre pacientov, preto je chirurgická liečba v súčasnosti najdôležitejšou liečebnou metódou tohto ochorenia.

Surgical treatment of pancreas carcinoma

This is a review addressing surgical treatment of pancreas carcinoma and its complications. Pancreatic carcinoma surgery went through significant changes in the past decade. A complete removal of tumors in the pancreas brings benefits for patients in comparison to conservative therapy. Thus, surgical treatment became currently the primary option of treatment.
