Epidemiológia rizikových faktorov neprenosných ochorení u klientov poradní zdravia

Non-communicable diseases are the leading cause of mortality and morbidity and are closely associated with modifiable risk factors such as smoking, obesity, physical inactivity, and unhealthy diet. The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of epidemiological surveillance of these risk factors and their prevalence in the population, with a focus on practical application in outpatient care. Particular attention is given to the role of health counselling centres as a tool of primary prevention. Available data indicate a high prevalence of risk factors and unfavorable trends, especially in obesity and physical inactivity. Epidemiological findings are of practical importance for general practitioners in identifying high- -risk patients and implementing preventive interventions.
