Význam substituce androgeny u mužů s testikulární hypofunkcí
Androgen substitution significance in men with testicular hypofunction During intrauterine development and further on during a life of male individual we can encounter a testicular hypofunction, which results in several different clinical pictures. Besides intrauterine testicular dysfunction, which is accompanied by Sertoli and Leydig cells pathology and testicular dysfunction in puberty (trauma, chromosomal aberration, retention), so called “partial androgen deficiency”, which accompanies all aging men, is discussed in recent years. We speak of andropause (willing to approximate this situation to menopause in women) having on mind complicated diagnostic and therapy (regarding possible adenocarcinoma of prostate induction) either. But at the beginning of discussion about andropause complex androgen effect in men (and women) must be kept in mind. There is no need to doubt about androgen substitution in men with loss of testicles (bilateral tumour etc.). But an age, when therapy should be ended, is not stated. Key words: testicular hypofunction, androgens, androgens deficiency.
