Injury of external genitalia in men Injury of external male genitalia represents 1% of all injuries in men occuring mainly among young patients from 10 to 30 years of age. Clinical picture varies from uncomplicated contusions of scrotum and penis to severe opened injuries, traumatic amputation of testes and penis included. The majority of injuries require examination by a specialist and corresponding therapy, which is a prerequisite for good long term outcomes. The goal of the paper is to give a review of current diagnostic and therapeutic methods in this field. Key words: injury of genitalia, scrotum, penis.
