Electrophysiological examination methods can provide complex information on functional state of pelvic muscles and can help considerably in refinement of urodynamic diagnostics. So far, they are not satisfactorily spread neither among neurologists-electromyographists nor urologists. Long examiner’s education, great technical equipment demands and primarily time-consuming examination can explain it partly. After an initial enthusiasm electrophysiological examination methods’ situation is commonsensibly discussed in diagnostic algorithm for lower urinary tract. Present possibilities of electrophysiological diagnostic methods in should be suggested in following text with emphasis to clinical consequences and should serve as stimulation in efforts to get deeply into them. Key words: electrophysiological examination methods, action potential, electromyography, evoked potentials.
