The importance of postural activity for timely identification of infantile cerbral palsy Timely identification of infantile cerebral palsy and early introduction of rehabilitation is of the greatest importance for the quality of life of both the child and the family. Assessment of postural development is the most important screening method. Correct diagnosis of postural activity enables the pediatrician to discover the threat of cerebral palsy in good time. This examination serves in the first place to assess the co-activation activity between the tonic and phasic muscles in the course of the first three months. It is during this period that the postural model maturs the essence of postural development. This assessment is the key to identification of a central disturbance of coordination at this early stage of development. Key words: celebral palsy, kinesiology, postural screening
