Rinosinusitídy v detskom veku

RHINOSINUSITIS IN CHILDREN Infections of nose and paranasal cavities are inflammatory complications following upper respiratory tract infections. Sinusitis in children is not a rare disease, and sometimes it is unrecognizable. Common aetiologic agents are bacteria, viruses and allergens. Among the typical clinical symptoms are fever, stuffed nose, nasal discharge and breathing through the mouth. Diagnosis is made upon clinical signs, X-ray and CT scans. Antibiotics with inhibitors of beta-lactamase or macrolides, nasal drops and nasal hygiene are used in therapy. Key words: rhinosinusitis in children.
