Pojetí vlastního těla u dětí před pubertou a během ní
Own Body Concept in Children before and during Puberty In the psychological development of children there is a new tendency to identify the so-called middle school age, which is characterised by identification of the child with a life role in keeping with his or her sex. In this period the need for physical privacy and the shame of one’s nakedness markedly comes to the fore. The conception of developmental changes observed on one’s own body is illustrated by projective drawings of children on the subject of „I’m taking a shower“. Finally, the need to take into consideration (both in hospitals and medical outpatient centres) the characteristics of children in particular developmental stages, is once again particularly emphasised. Key words: middle school age, sexual development, shame, intimacy, projective drawing.
