MISTAKES IN THE CARE ABOUT A NEWBORN FOLLOWINGHOSPITAL DISCHARGE Mistakes and errors in care of a newborn following discharge from hospital can be divided in several areas, which are mutually related. Article is divided into two parts. Second part deals with an overview of mistakes and errors in standard care about a newborn following discharge from hospital. Emphasis is on a formation of correct habits in hygiene, regimen and healthy sleep of the newborn. Attention is paid on the follow-up of psychomotor development of the child. Insight onto the most frequent mistakes is put in a context with formation of parent-child relationship. Health personnel’s mistake as a whole is giving parents often opposing information in different levels of care. It results in disturbance of necessary trust between parents and doctor.
