Palliative care in social service facilities

The aim of the article is to present in the context of the Czech Republic the possibilities of implementing palliative care in the area of residential social service facilities. Based on the studied relevant foreign and czech literature and the outputs of the involved actors of the process (especially on the websites of these organizations), it was confirmed that the implementation based on specific steps by both the relevant ministries and with the support of professional organizations is not only theoretically anchored, but is already underway in many facilities and is even moving to higher levels based on high- -quality evaluation processes, mutual support and sharing of experiences.
