Analýza záťažových faktorov súvisiacich so starostlivosťou o zomierajúcich v zariadeniach sociálnych služieb

The study aimed to identify and analyze the specific stress factors shaping the everyday reality of staff providing care to dying clients in social service facilities. We conducted qualitative research using the method of three focus groups with a total of 29 participants, including nurses, practical nurses, caregivers, social workers, and directors. The collected empirical data were subsequently processed using inductive thematic analysis. We identified three interconnected areas of burden: systemic and institutional limits, a deficit in professional and communication competencies, and the intrapersonal burden of the staff. We highlighted that managing these stress factors requires systemic solutions, enhanced interdisciplinary cooperation, systematic support for staff, and the implementation of measures to minimize the burden, which represent a crucial step toward the humanization of social services and the prevention of burnout syndrome.
