20. svetový kongres Európskej asociácie pre paliatívnu starostlivosť

From May 14-16, 2026, Prague became a global center for palliative care. It was during these days that the 20th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) took place, this time under the auspices of the Czech Society for Palliative Medicine. The main theme of this year’s event was “Palliative Care Research: From Strong Foundations to New Horizons“. Among the important topics discussed this year were, among others, the early integration of palliative care into clinical practice, the importance of rehabilitation in palliative care, digitalization in care, and ethical issues surrounding dying. An important part of the congress was also a section dedicated to issues in pediatric palliative care.
