Sexual health in women after cancer treatment
Sexual health represents an important, yet often overlooked, component of quality of life in women after cancer treatment. This review article summarizes current evidence from the scientific literature and recommendations from professional societies addressing sexual dysfunction in female cancer survivors. It highlights the importance of early recognition of symptoms, targeted diagnostics, and a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to management. Care for sexual health should be considered a natural part of follow-up in women after cancer treatment, as its active management may significantly improve daily functioning and overall life satisfaction.
