Comprehensive management of vulvar carcinoma
Vulvar carcinoma is a rare gynecological malignancy, accounting for 5-8% of all gynecological cancers, and primarily affects women in their seventh decade of life. The most common histological type is squamous cell carcinoma, with risk factors including HPV infection, chronic dermatoses, and immunodeficient states. Surgery plays a key role in the therapeutic management, and it may be combined with other treatment modalities, especially radiotherapy. The article deals with the etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, and comprehensive therapeutic management of patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the vulva.
