When antibodies treat: a new era in the treatment of multiple myeloma

The treatment of multiple myeloma (MM) using antibody-based immunotherapy has changed significantly over the past decade. The era of immunotherapy for MM began with the introduction of monoclonal antibodies: daratumumab, isatuximab, and elotuzumab. Subsequently, immunotherapy expanded to include antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), bispecific antibodies (BsAbs), and CAR-T cell therapy (chimeric antigen receptor). This article focuses on a basic overview of the ADC approved for the treatment of MM, primarily in European countries.
