Fertility and pregnancy after breast cancer treatment
Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women. Unfortunately, it can enter their lives at any age. And although its incidence is highest in women over 50 years of age, cases also appear in significantly younger women. The primary goal of treatment for a young woman with breast cancer is to save her health and life. If this woman successfully completes breast cancer treatment, questions regarding her subsequent life also come to the fore. For many young patients, motherhood is an important topic. Oncological treatment can temporarily or irreversibly impair their reproductive abilities. Therefore, the issue of preserving fertility is an essential part of caring for a young woman with breast cancer. Equally important is reassuring her that pregnancy is possible and safe after breast cancer treatment.
