The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years has significantly influenced many areas of medicine, including dermatology, which is a highly visual discipline and therefore offers ideal conditions for its implementation. This article provides an overview of the latest insights into the use of AI in dermatological practice, with a focus on teledermatology, chronic wound healing, aesthetic medicine, digital dermatoscopy, trichoscopy, and the potential application of ChatGPT in clinical settings. The benefits of AI are presented, including more efficient diagnostics, treatment personalization, and improved accessibility of care, while also addressing its limitations such as the potential for errors and ethical concerns. The article also highlights the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks. The result is a comprehensive view of a rapidly evolving field that requires close collaboration between developers and dermatologists to ensure safe and effective integration into clinical practice.
