Skin boosters used in dermatology (available in Slovakia)
Skinboosters are injectable preparations that specifically improve the quality of the skin without changing its volume, unlike classic fillers. They significantly improve the hydration of the dermis, increase the density of collagen and elastin fibers and support the renewal of the extracellular matrix. The products are well tolerated and provide a natural and gentle revitalizing effect. Thanks to the regenerative potential and safety of skinboosters, these treatments are becoming an important tool not only in aesthetic but also in clinical dermatology. Their correct inclusion in the therapeutic plan has the potential to slow down the progression of skin aging. Skinboosters can be divided into natural (biologically identical) and synthetic (biomodulatory) according to their origin and composition. A special role in the renewal of skin structures has a microinjection treatment with a highly diluted solution of botulinum toxin type A, which adjusts the skin texture, reduces pores and smoothes wrinkles without complete muscle paralysis. The success of skinbooster treatments depends not only on the appropriate choice of product, but also on the correct application technique. The choice of technique is determined by the patient’s age, skin quality, treatment indications and expected results. Several techniques are often combined to achieve the best results.
