Robotic-assisted surgery in Slovakia
Robotic-assisted surgery represents the latest, dynamically developing trend in minimally invasive surgery with the same radicality compared to standard approaches. Robotic-assisted surgery is used especially in urology, gynecology, general surgery and otorhinolaryngology. Authors present advantages and indications for robotic-assisted surgery, as well as their own experiences with da Vinci robotic system at the Center for Robotic Surgery, F. D. Roosevelt Faculty Hospital in Banska Bystrica.
