Rare case of pulmonary sarcoidosis and tuberculosis of intrathoracic nodes

Sarcoidosis and tuberculosis are diseases that occur very rarely at the same time. Histologically, sarcoidosis is characterized by finding non-caseating epitheloid granulomas, which are similar to tuberculous. Unlike tuberculosis, sarcoidosis is characterized by the fact that in the nodules no caseous necrosis is created. The author describes a case of 29-year old male who was after several examinations diagnosed with concomitant sarcoidosis and tuberculosis of intrathoracic nodes. After a combined antituberculoustherapy together with corticosteroids the patient’s condition has stabilized, subjective complaints and infiltrative changes in the X-ray got to remission .
