Severe acute pancreatitis and its miniinvasive therapy – case report
Nowadays therapy of severe acute pancreatitis is multimodal. At the beginning mostly conservative, invasive surgical therapy is prefered around 3 to 4 weeks after the start of the disease, when the pancreatic necrosis is walled off enough to perform safe necrosectomy. In our case report we refer a case of 46 years old patient with severe acute pancreatitis with extensive fluid collection localized in omental bursa, which according to CT didn‘t show signs of infection. After consideration we performed an endoscopic miniinvasive drainage, which was the key moment in therapy and led to improvement in patient’s condition. In our article we also give reference about actual invasive therapeutic possibilities of this disease.
