Appendiceal mucoceles and mucinous tumors of the appendix
Appendiceal mucinous cystadenoma is one of histological forms of the appendiceal mucocele. The authors present two case reviews with benign cystic mucinous appendiceas tumors, in which the diagnosis was established only after final histological examination of the resected tissue. The authors discuss diagnostic options, differential diagnosis, coicidence and recommended surgical treatment, laparoscopy as well as laparotomy in mucocele management.
