Management of postoperative pain

Treatment of postoperative pain belongs to an inevitable part of each postoperative period. Its suitably handled managment significantly determines both whole convalescence process and the subsequent recovery of the individual patient. An advanced postoperative pain evokes various changes in the particular organ systems, and an inadequate dosage, maily of the opium-based drugs, can substantially enhace undisered side-effects in the health status of the patient. Thus, a successful postoperative pain treatment requires an individual approach to each patient with respect to its health specifications.
