Complications after pancreatic resections

Diseases of pancreas, especially chronic pancreatitis and tumors of pancreas are the most common indications for surgical interventions on the pancreas. Despite a significant decrease in mortality after these operations, the number of postoperative complications remains relatively high. The concentration of patients in specialized centers reduces mortality and morbidity in these surgical procedures.
