Pancreatic cancer – diagnosis and treatment
Pancreatis cancer is a disease, which has the lowest survival from all oncological diseases. It is the fourth most common cause of death because of oncological disease nowadays. In the time of diagnostic, the most of the patients suffer from progressive local and noresecabile stage of tumor already (70-80%). Infaust prognosis is caused by late diagnostic, early metastatic progression, complicated surgical treatment and resistance to chemo- and radiotherapy. Only five percent of patients have survival 5 years after diagnostic. Slovakia is the second country with the highest incidence of pancreatic cancer after Czech republic in the world. Assumed number of new diagnostic patients suffering from pancreatic cancer in the Slovac republic for year 2017 is 1018. Because of this, pancreatic cancer should be in attention of doctors.
