Isolated torsion of the uterine tuba in pregnancy - case report
Fallopian tube torsion is a very rare cause of a sudden abdominal disorder in pregnancy. The main clinical manifestation is pain in the lower abdomen, but the diagnosis is usually confirmed peroperatively. The authors present the case of a 34-year-old female patient in the 26th week of pregnancy with pains in the right hypogastrium and with sudden abdominal pain symptoms, in which was peroperatively confirmed torsion of the right fallopian tube and salpingectomy was then performed.
