Surgical treatment of abdominal aneurysm aorta "per magna" in a 86-year-old patient

In general, arterial aneurysm is defined as a permanent increase of the outer diameter of the front-rear and transverse diameter by more than 50% (or 1.5 times) in comparison with the adjacent unaffected most common proximal section of the artery with a view of the gender. Infrarenal abdominal aorta in the region is a common place occurrence of degenerative aneurysms origin. The incidence in the general population throughout life is 2 to 3% particularly in the population over 50 years, in the age group over 80 years it‘s been 6%. Handicap ratio of men and women is 4 – 5 : 1.
