Využitie dotazníka PDQ-D na meranie zmien kognitívnych funkcií u pacientov s depresiou
Depressive disorder is linked to variety of cognitive deficits, including in the areas of memory, concentration, speed of processing and executive functions. Those disturbances contribute to impairment of daily functioning and quality of patient´s life. Neuropsychological tests provide objective assessment of cognitive functions. In clinical praxis they are often not available and their administration can be time consuming. Self-administred subjective questionnaires, such as Perceived Deficits Questionnaire - Depression (PDQ-D), can offer an useful alternative. PDQ-D consists of 20 questions and assesses domains of cognitive functioning such as attention, prospective and retrospective memory and executive functions, slovak version is available and time of administration is 5-10 minutes. Analyses aimed to examine the relationship between objective and subjective measures of cognitive functions in patients with depression showed, that change in subjective complaints measured by PDQ-D correlated with the change in objective neuropsychological tests. In clinical praxis, PDQ-D could offer a useful tool for assessment of different aspects of cognition and its influence on everyday functionning of the patient.
