The specifics of coping strategies in care about child with autistic spectrum disorder
Herein, we present the results of a pilot study conducted in Valdosta (USA, Georgia) that focuses on the burden imposed on families by the care for children with autistic spectrum disorders. The main cause of this burden is due to accompanying difficulties which are part of the disorder such as meltdowns, self-injuries, psychomotor agitation, eating disorders, sleep disorders and other troubles that require almost 24-hour care of parents for their children.
