Antioxidants in prevention of chronic disease – part IV: Nutritional models
Nutrition with a higher level of antioxidants is beneficial to health and, as part of lifestyle, contributes significantly to the health of people. Increasing consumption of main sources of natural antioxidants (fruits, vegetables, vegetable oils, cereals, nuts, legumes, mushrooms, etc.) provides one of the possible solutions for reducing high mortality in cardiovascular disease, cancer and other noncommunicable diseases. We present selected antioxidants in diet and selected nutritional models with higher intake of antioxidants in the diet.
