Treatment of hemangiomas in child age and new possibilities of treatment

Hemangiomas are the most frequent tumours of child age. They are found in 10 – 12 % of infants. The authors summarize contemporary knowledge of treatment of hemangiomas as well as their own experience with the treatment. They followed-up 42 children with hemangiomas. The latter were treated with prednisone and nonselective betablocker – propranolol.
