Spinal deformities in children – proper diagnosis and treatment
The issue of spinal deformities in children is one of the most frequent question of professional and public discussion. From today’s point of view, the frequency of their occurrence is growing, the diagnosis is much more complex and the treatment options are expanding. Temperateness in the indication of surgical treatment, that has been typical of the past is getting into the mood. There are globally accepted classification systems that lead to the correct spondylosurgical principles of treatment. These are aimed at the complete reconstruction of the body as a unit, the achievement of the maximum possible, but safe correction and the preservation of the physiological range of spinal motion.
