Systemic treatment of metastatic triple negative breast cancer
Metastatic triple negative breast cancer is a subgroup of metastatic breast cancer with a triple negative phenotype. It characterizes the absence of estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors and HER2 receptors, suggesting absence of targeted treatment. Its typical feature is early metastasis, overall aggressive course and high frequency of nodes and visceral metastases. Despite the primary chemosensitivity, the prognosis of this disease is very poor.
