Immunotherapy of gynecological malignancies in senium

Gynecological malignancies represent a significant group of neoplastic diseases affecting women in the elderly population. Due to demographic changes, such as population aging and increased life expectancy, the incidence of cancers of the endometrium, ovaries, and cervix is rising. Diagnosis in this age group is often delayed, primarily due to atypical symptomatology, decreased adherence to preventive screening programs, discontinuation of screening in older age, and the presence of comorbidities that obscure the clinical picture. The therapeutic approach is complicated by a higher prevalence of polymorbidity, increased geriatric frailty, and a greater risk of treatment-related complications. This necessitates a personalized, multidisciplinary management that takes into account both the biological age and the psychosocial context of the patient.
