Extragonadálne germinatívne nádory
Extragonadal germ cell tumors Extragonadal germ cell tumors (EGCTs) are a rare and unique malignancy requiring a specific approach in the management. Histologically they represent the same entities normally seen in testicular germ cell tumors, however, their biology differs. EGCTs are found along the mid-line, most commonly in anterior mediastinum, retroperitoneum, pineal gland and very rarely in pre-sacral region or others. This article discusses distinct types of EGCTs and the approach to diagnosis and management with the intent to cure this disease.
