Prevencia nemelanómovej rakoviny kože

Prevention of non melanoma skin cancer Non-melanoma skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed tumor disease occurring among the population. Its incidence is on the increase all over the world, with the exception of European population. Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) includes all non-melanocytic skin malignancies, but most of the cases are basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The most important risk factors in the development of these tumors as well as precanceroses are UV radiation, chronic exposure and repeated burns of the skin. Other etiological factors include older age, light skin (phototype I and II), immunosuppression, some chemicals, genetic factors, ionizing radiation, and the profession performed outside. Knowing the risk factors in the development of skin carcinogenesis enables us to focus on them when it comes to prevention of these frequent oncological diseases.
