Polymorphic light eruption and other immunologically mediated photodermatoses
Polymorphic light eruption (PLE) is a highly prevalent photosensitivity disorder, estimated to affect 10-20 % people in countries with mild climate. PLE belongs to the idiopathic photodermatoses together with actinic prurigo, hydroa vacciniforme, chronic actinic dermatitis and solar urticaria. These dermatoses are separated from other skin disorders which can be aggravated by sun exposure.
