Phosphocreatineuse in intensive medicine

ATP molecule represents an universal currency within the energy metabolism of the cell and entire organism. It’s presence is necessary for wide range of enzymatic, anabolic and degradation processes. Depletion of such vital molecule therefore leads to deepening of ongoing pathologies and forms new one. Critically ill patient is challenged with extraordinary energy call. Therefore based on current findings we can claim that an adequate substitution and prevention of energy depletion represent firm part of basic rational therapy for each patient. Since ancient time there were three fundamentals of each therapy: to ease the pain, to provide cleansing and to ease hunger. If we use basic intensive care design, we can imagine sedation for the first one, ATB therapy for the second and based upon current logic findings we can imagine energy sources supplementation for hunger ease. In our instance, this would be ATP supplementation via the phosphocreatine application.
