Použitie retroperitoneálnej lymfadenektómie v terapii neseminomatóznych nádorov testis

Nádory semenníka sa vyskytujú zriedkavo, predstavujú 1 % všetkých malígnych nádorov u mužov, ale patria medzi najčastejšie malignity mladých mužov. Germinatívne tumory sa stali príkladom chemosenzitívnych a kurabilných nádorov. S multimodálnou terapiou zahrňujúcou chemoterapiu na báze cisplatiny s následnou resekciou reziduálnych metastatických ložísk, ktorá sa všeobecne odporúča, celkové dlhodobé prežívanie bez prejavov ochorenia možno dosiahnuť u približne 80 % pacientov s pokročilou chorobou.

Retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy in the therapy of nonseminomatous testicular tumors

Testicular germ cell tumors occur rarely, they represent 1% of all malignant tumors in males, but they belong to the most frequent malignities in young men. They became an example of chemosensitive and curable cancer. With multimodality therapy comprising cisplatinbased combination chemotherapy and subsequent resection of residual metastatic deposits, which is universally recommended, an overall long-term disease-free status can be achieved in 80 % of patients with advanced disease.
